Voltage converter 50V to 12V/3A + 5V/3A

 

The dual voltage converter SPGW_V3A was designed as part of an RF power amplifier project. The module generates
 the additional auxiliary voltages of 12V and 5V from the 50V supply voltage of the PA.

The voltage converters are designed as switching regulators with the  LM2576HV-ADJ from Texas Instruments..

The dimensions of the board are 75 x 75mm.

 

Both voltages can be adjusted within the usual limits and can be loaded with up to 3A in continuous operation thanks to sufficiently dimensioned power chokes.

 

As can be seen from the schematic, both switching regulator channels are completely separated, fused and filtered. The additional filtering of the output voltages allows use in RF projects without switching noise.

With an appropriate assembly, both channels can be used for 5V or 12V, of course.

 

 

The real setup also clearly shows the two separate channels for 12V and 5V.

 

The output voltages are routed to two 3-poleTerminals per channel.

 

The dimensioning of the components is in the BOM .
